I 've been drawing since I was two. At that time it was Winnie the Pooh. I grew up in the foothills and central valley of Northern California in a close family that encouraged my love of drawing. By age 15 I had turned out spare bedroom into my "Studio" with the hopes of becoming the next Norman Rockwell.

I focused on art in High School and Junior College, and was fortunate enough to be led by an amazing group of talented and passionate instructors, who still remain strong influences.

dragonIn 1983 I moved to Pasadena to attend Art Center College of Design. We were made for each other. I thrived within the structure of the school as I found my own personal voice as an illustrator. I graduated in 1987 and hit the ground running. Since then, I have been fortunate enough to work with talented Art Directors from some of the top publications, publishing houses, and advertising agencies in the nation.

I love creating illustrations for clients that tell stories. I'm inspired by film, and enjoy incorporating elements of character, light, costume and staging to tell a clear personal story that can be universally enjoyed.
